Final Report from the Conference on Management of Toxic Substances in the Marine Environment — Analysis of the Mediterranean and the Baltic (AMEBA)

The Policy Forum focused on the possibilities for conducting regional marine ecological risk assessment/risk management for the Mediterranean and Baltic Seas, and how such activities can assist the implementation of the Barcelona and Helsinki Conventions. The draft Technical Guidance Document for marine risk assessment was also discussed. Also available are individual workshop presentations.

Swedish Environmental Quality Objectives

The Swedish Parliament has established 15 environmental quality objectives, which will function as benchmarks for all environment-related development in Sweden. The overriding aim is to solve all the major environmental problems within one generation. The Final report of the Committee on Environmental Objectives provides analysis of the process that led to the establishment of the objectives.
