In December 2004, the Chemicals Policy and Science Initiative convened a group of 40 North American and European experts in chemicals substitution, alternatives assessment, life cycle assessment and product policy from government, industry, academia, and the nonprofit sector to discuss ways to improve and coordinate alternatives assessment processes.
